Aaron Fike, Don’t Let the Pit Gate Hit You!

I have zero sympathy. None whatsoever!

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Aaron Fike and his fiancee were arrested over the weekend in Mason, Ohio, on drug possession charges, and his future in the series remains in doubt.

According to officials at the Warren County Jail in Lebanon, Ohio, Fike and his fiancee, Cassandra Davidson were arrested Saturday afternoon and both are being held without bond on charges of possession of drugs and possession of drug abuse instruments.

Their first court appearance is not scheduled until Tuesday, officials said.

According to this report Fike was leaving a parking lot when the mirror of his vehicle struck a Kings Island security officer.

When police arrived to investigate they found “heroin inside his SUV as well as syringes and spoons with residue.”

“Once we know all the facts, we will make a decision on his participation in NASCAR going forward,” NASCAR spokesman Ramsey Poston said.

There has been a few drug test failures and suspensions in the last few years but it’s generally been accepted the drugs of choice have been cocaine and mary J. (he says from a former cloud of smoke)

You have to wonder what the hell circle Fike was hanging out in to be associated with heroin. On the other hand from the mug shot that ain’t no supermodel he was busted with.

Not unless the definition of supermodel was changed to include skank!

Regardless, Fike is a complete and utter ASS! See ya, don’t let the pit gate hit you in the ass on the way out!

  1. As I was reading the first paragraph - and assuming he just had a little marijauna - I was somewhat in disagreement with you about having no sympathy.

Well, then I saw it was heroin and thought WTF? I mean who does heroin?

BTW, check out my new blog Marc, not sure if its of interest to you, but hopefully to some of your other readers.

  2. Very nice clean design!

Is the student graphic yours or did you pick it up somewhere?

  3. I agree 100%. Heroin? My GOD!!!!

  4. When you shoot the horse, I’m guessing skank is about as far up the chick food chain as one will ever progress. Makes one wonder where his mind (and veins) were on race weekends and how effective NASCAR’s mysterious drug screening program is. Drivers have been busted and banned for less than junk. This cat has to have been involved deep for a while. I’ve never met anyone who had their first drug experience by dancing with Mr. Brownstone. Geez, what a wacky story.

  5. O wouldn’t condemn the drug policy too much, although I think it should be random and mandatory, it’s based on knowledge of someone using or acting in such a way to be suspect before a test is administered.

If no one rated out Fike or he never acted in such a way to be deemed a candidate for a test NASCAR had no reason to give him one.

  6. Do these charges against them have anything to do with any of you people? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Do you know Aaron or Casey personally? Have you ever met Casey to know she is a skank? How dare any of you people crusify these two, when none of you know anything about them. If you want to lower yourselves to the toothless hilbillies you probably are, then keep your invalid opinions to yourselves.

  7. Hey look we have a troll! Hi Heather, lets see if we can clear up your misconceptions.

“Do these charges against them have anything to do with any of you people?”

Why do we have to know them personally prior to commenting on the facts as given in the story? Look around the MSM, editorials are written each day by writers who have never met the subject of their article.

“Do you know Aaron or Casey personally? Have you ever met Casey to know she is a skank?”

AH-HUH! “Casey,” there’s a clue to your attitude I bet. The use of a nick name may indicate a personal relationship with her.

    Guess what? So what.

“How dare any of you people crusify [sic] these two, when none of you know anything about them.”

Why not? I know enough, the two parties involved were in possession of “heroin, syringes and spoons with residue.” Got proof otherwise? Are you claiming the story is wrong and the police lied?

If so provide it, until then I’ll stay with my current position.

“If you want to lower yourselves to the toothless hilbillies [sic] you probably are, then keep your invalid opinions to yourselves.”

Invalid opinions? Why are they invalid, because you have a relationship with “Casey” and are over-looking the fact she and Fike reportedly were in very close proximity, if not users of one of the worst narcotics available.

And BTW… in my book that does put “Casey” near the top of my skank list. EDIT Oh hey look they both plead not guilty. What a [non]shock! We also learn from the hearing alcohol swabs were part of the “drug paraphernalia” found by the police.

Clean as the driven snow right Heather?

And BTW… the Kool-aid booth is a 1/4 mile down on the left.

  8. The d-train is a bad one to ride on but all it can take is meeting some of the wrong people. As for being involved for awhile, it don’t take long at all to get hooked and look as they did. It gets to you real quick and can tear many people apart before its too late. To his luck he got caught and can get help, plenty others are buried or had to recoever from an overdose to see what was going on. To those of you too blind to see all the drug users of any kind, its time you woke up and tried to help them not critize without knowing the person and their situation. I’m not defending them since I really don’t know either of them, I just follow what Aaron does in racing.

  9. Jake:

I hope you’ve enjoyed following Fike to this point because if he pops positive his career is OVER.

And even if he doesn’t he’s in for a long suspension for the company he keeps. Every driver operates under a “moral turpitude” clause in their contract, based on that he’s history regardless of any piss test.

  10. Would like to take a moment to remind everyone to pray for mercy for each and everyone of us. God is merciful. Sometimes, people drive down the wrong road and have to do a u-turn to get back on the right path. I believe in both of them. I know Cassandra’s parents. I know that she was not raised this way and “skank” couldn’t be farther from the truth!!!! She has had a very Christian upbringing but has faltered for a moment…God and her family will support her back to a better life. Please stop berating them and start praying for them. They both lost their way…pray that they find their way back again. Mercifulness is powerful.

  11. Marc, I’m jealous.

You got visited by a graduate of the Short Cup of Curdle’s School of Blogging, and I haven’t been lately.

Some guys have all the luck.

  12. Do ya think?

It would make all the sense in the world if that’s were Heather migrated from. (IP is in Kentucky)

    Same mindset, same disjointed tripe.

But I was thinkin’… if I only blogged on people I personally know I’d have much more time to crochet… or saving the planet… or something.

  13. Jake and Heather- I totally agree with you that you should know the person before you go and judge someone. I know Aaron personaly and he’s really a nice and caring guy normally. i know i know i know he didn’t care about anybody on the road when he did this. and i dont dispute that. i know i’ll never look at him the same as i did before this. just dont go out and say how bad of a guy he is when all you know about him is what you’ve heard. hell if i didnt know him id probably feel the same way so many of you do.

  14. Michelle, Danny when it comes to someone having been caught with such a vial dangerous drug as Heroin I have zero sympathy…. ZERO!

And I could care less even if their respective piss tests result in a negative, it’s plain they were in the vehicle with it and it’s HARD to believe a plausible reason for not knowing it was there can be offered.

NASCAR has suspended both in the last few hours… GOOD RIDDANCE!

  15. aaron is a good kid. people do make mistakes. no one can judge except god. he will be taking the proper treatment to get himself better. instead of everyone putting forth negativity, why dont you give positive words of reinforcement and just wish him the best. no one on these blogs knows him or casey personally, and its so disheartening to hear everyone bash him when no one knows really what happened and what his personal life may entail. I can tell you that his family loves him very much and have always been an active role in his life. He has worked since he was 13, and was raised to achieve everything on his own. i can assure you aaron has never raced under the influence of any drugs, and would never put himself or anyone else on the track in harms way. I hope that people can look past all this crap, and focus on his talent as a racer. No one who is addicted to heroin could ever be in the running for rookie of the year, or be 8th in points. Aaron we love you, and we are behind you 100%!

  16. Well regardless if i have to justify the fact that i know him or not, i will. Aaron is not only my friend but my cousin. Ive grown up with him all my life. I was there when he proposed to your so called “skank”, and for the record Casey and him have been together for 4 years in a monagamous which in my book doesnt make anyone a skank. I can assure you that Aaron is getting the proper treatment to rectify all these indescrepencies, and he will be back to prove to all of you how good a racer he is. He has all the support from his family, his friends, and his team, and his true fans. No one in life is perfect. Not crooked lawyers, judges, businessmen, or priests for that matter. So before you go passing judgement, take a reflection on your own life and analyze what you can do to make yourself a better person….and quit focusing on people’s lives that have no concern to you. And to all the people that do support aaron, please keep him in your thoughts and wish him the best.

  17. Hey there Marc! Would you like to comment on Richard Jewell or the Duke lacrosse players? I’d love to hear what you have to say about them.

Man, that Jewell should be locked up for life, right? I have ZERO sympathy for violent people.
Oh and sterilize those Duke lacrosse players. Take ‘em out of the gene pool, right?

I think I’ll wait ’til after the trial to comment. Innocent until proven guilty. It’s kind of a thing we’ve got here in the U.S.A. Let things play out first. Condemn the couple if you wish, but only *after* a conviction.

Just speaking as the uncle of a lawyer.

  18. Clay Do I want to comment on the Richard Jewell or the Duke lacrosse players? Last I heard they weren’t race drivers, but if you really want me to I’ll start a thread at my political blog.

I’ve commented on the basic facts of the story and at this point what was found in their possession (YES having it in their car/truck is in their possession) is indisputable.

Well indisputable… unless you happen to believe law enforcement officials have no training in drug recognition and the paraphernalia needed to use said drugs.

If that’s the case your sadly uninformed. As I’ve already stated above, whether they pop positive on their respective drug tests is immaterial. As NASCAR credential holders and as signatories to a contract with their race team they are in violation of the moral turpitude clause.

NASCAR has agreed, that’s why they are both out on their butts, indefinitely. And that will be followed shortly by the race team sending them packing.

  19. Heather, your personal history with these two is touching, really it is.

But in the overall scheme of things it means nothing both to me, the police officer he hit as he attempted to flee the scene, the judicial system or NASCAR.

Save it, support him all you care to, even when he returns to the track. At some SMALL short track because the odds he gets back into NASCAR at any level is slim to none.

  20. Heather, I do know Aaron. And I know his dad, Don. These are not good people. Don will lie, cheat and steel to support his own alc, prescrip drugs, and lady problems. So, I am not surprised Aaron has the same problem. That whole family has alot of skeletons in the closet.

  21. Done like my toast this morning - burnt! I too have zero sympathy for drug users. I wrote about this too, and Marc, you and I are on the same page on this one.

  22. I’ve been pretty amazed at the response this post has received, it’s only a few away from setting a record for the amount of comments.

Of course 95% of them are from sycophants and excuse mongers.

And ya gotta just “love” those that claim I can’t comment on the story because I don’t know them personally.

Delusional Kool-Aid sippers, one and all.

  23. First off, they were caught for drug abuse. How being called a skank fits in…it doesn’t, so shut the hell up. Not to mention the fact that it’s a mug shot…and they were pretty strung out. I think the last thing on their minds were “Let’s take a quick shower and apply makeup so we can be pretty!” You’re seriously a fucking jackass if you thought a mug shot would show someone in some perfect beauty form like “a supermodel.” Secondly, if you don’t know them, then stop talking trash. Go ahead and have your harsh, low-down opinions, but know that they don’t matter to anyone because you have no clue who these people are. I actually do know them personally. So screw those of you that have no faith in people, especially when these 2 are complete strangers to you. For the people that want to repeatedly talk shit over and over, guarateed that you don’t even know what it’s like to have a loved one that’s been addicted to drugs. Because if you knew someone that went through something as awful as that, you wouldn’t be such a jerk. You don’t know what they go through or how their lives have been. Being a Nascar driver with money doesn’t make someone’s life perfect, so don’t think that they just have it all with no problems. Drugs are a choice in the beginning, but maybe you just don’t understand addiction. And I’m pretty sure that Aaron, just as a person, is more important to worry about than what will happen to his career. Either way, he’ll live. Stop thinking that you are so much better than these two. You’re not perfect either. Anyways, they have both been released and doing a lot better thanks to support from friends, family, and people who care enough to not just label them as something that they are not. I love them both, and they deserve a lot more than your worthless words.

  24. Aaron is a spoiled racer. There are a lot of racers out there that would give anything to have a shot in the equipment that he has blown off by using drugs. That is evident and so are his previous bouts with drugs I wish him and her the best on a path to recovery if they choose to do so. It makes those racers like us sick to see such good equipment go to waste. Its okay because Daddy RFMS will just buy him another ride. Too all of those that have supported them crews, owners, agents, friends and family I hope you can help them out of the holes that they have dug themselves.

  25. “Grow up,” you ask how taking/having drugs relates to being a “skank.”

Simple, any female who disrespects her body by the use, and or possession of heroin is a SKANK!

Any male that does the same is a dumb asses punk and deserve any and everything the law allows.

    Then you state:

Because if you knew someone that went through something as awful as that, you wouldn

  26. Marc….being that you were once a drug and alcohol counselor..don’t you think you should be a little more understanding and not so insulting. You must have been great at your job.

  27. Ha, the responses in defense of Fike just keep getting better and better and better! I’ve had this page bookmarked for several days and am enjoying these pathetic defenses. Are these “friends” & sympathizers of Fike actively searching out this journal entry?? My friends, the court of public opinion matters not. What does is the court in Ohio on the 19th.

  28. Will, I’ve been wondering the same thing.

In nearly 4 years of running this place I’ve never gotten this type of response.

And yes, somewhere in a forum Fike’s defenders are being pointed in this direction. That’s the only explanation for some of these idiots all arriving at the same place.

  29. lynn: Oddly enough my military drug and alcohol counseling experience mirrors NASCAR.

You pop positive on a piss test ONCE your gone from the military. No exceptions, just like NASCAR.

And that’s the way it MUST be. I had a very sympathetic ear for those with alcohol problems, drugs are an entirely different matter.

And heroin takes that lack of concern to a different level than that.

And Lynn… just what forum or blog is directing you and your ilk this way?

  30. For you idiots that think Aaron Fike is going to return to racing, go look up Brian Rose. He also USED to be a truck racer. I think after Shane Hmiel make NASCAR look bad with abusing his second chances, Fike won’t be heard from again.

Maybe this drug use explains why he sucked so badly in the Busch series!

  31. Sorry I know for a fact that if they have been together for 4 years that puts them in July of 2003= that he has not been faithful. Sorry hun by the way before you want to start blaming your actions on other people you should really own up to what YOU did

  32. Kelsey… you can save that idiotic, unsubstantiated tripe for some hateful forum somewhere else.

It will remain on display here as nothing more than an example of the lunatic on both sides of this issue and how they can so easily pull absolute crap out of the butts.

And BTW… comments are now officially closed on this thread.
