  1. More likely young Graham Rahal will be the touted one for NASCAR from the “insert long named race team here” boys. Rahal seems ultra talented and there is a serious ceiling above the poor boy’s (mono-posto speaking) head. Where are young guys like Graham and Marco Andretti going to make their $6mm a year? It ain’t in Chump Car or IRNMBSL.

  2. Charlie, you been to Mendoceno also? Not that’s it’s needed. This native Michigander well remembers the quality available there.

Anyway, young Mr. Rahal ran in the 2006 Indy Pro Series that ran in conjunction with the United States Grand Prix. The expressed purpose was to showcase his talents to the F1 prima-donas on hand.

I fully expect him to enter the EU’s F1 feeder series, GP2 in the next year or so.

  3. Strong denials to the contrary, I think this is a hedge for NHL against Champcar folding in the near future. If there’s no open wheel series to your liking to race in, go race with fenders.

By the way, where did you find that remarkable portrait of Jean “The Toad” Todt?? I know, he’s a frog, but it’s hard to come up with a semi-clever quip using frog and Todt. At least for me.

  4. Simple, image google’d “french frog” and it was number one on the hit list.
