It’s Always Nice to Have a Second Chance

W
ell it’s over. The 2004 Weblog Awards hosted by Wizbang (Thanks Kevin, you’re the greatest) are digital dust for another year. And alas, once again this year my efforts were dashed on the hard rocks of false hope. You know the old saying, “Tis better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all?” Well I love my little sports blog - and I LOST - and I should be happy. But I’m not, and I lost to a “stick & ball” sports Blog. Yeeeeach! . But I’m not the only one pissed Jay Tea is blowing the lid off a polling scandal at the Awards. Maybe I can get some of that cash Sen. Kerry is tossing around Ohio and tilt a few more votes my way.

I am very honored to have been chosen as a finalist just the same and congratulations are heartly given to the “Crank.” Besides I don’t have to wait for next year for my self inflicted punishment, I get a second chance at humiliation. The Asian Weblog Awards are upon us and voting begins Dec. 15 th. Both Cranial Cavity and Full Throttle have been nominated in Best Philippines Blog, and Best Design. Full Throttle is also nominated to Best Asian Newcomer of 2004.

As I said polling starts on the 15 th and you can vote once each 24 hours.
