Quick Hits on a Slow Day
It’s Time To Start You Engines:
Any questions? This came via a post by Mike Maruska’s Trouble in Turn Two who received it via the author Ryan Parker. My take, three words:
C O O L-A S-H E L L!
Great picture of the #2. No, not that one, the real one.
Mike’s got 6 interesting predictions for the season that’s worth reading.
Next up food. The seasons around the corner and I’ve been thinkin’ of track food. And this article at AutoWeek didn’t help the hunger pangs. Is Pal’s restaurant in northeastern Tennessee the coolest thing since Arnold’s Drive-In on Happy Days? Been to Bristol a number of times but can’t remember seeing one. Actually given the architecture how could anyone miss it? But I did.
Ok, Track food. Tailgating. What do you think of, easy to carry and and easy to eat. Well here’s just the thing. As the post says, it’s both the best and worst thing ever. I think I’d grill my own but it is interesting.
Would you pay $2,895 dollars for schwag commemorating the 50th running of the Daytona 500? I wouldn’t either, but some fool will.
Hey Bob, some of your Crazy Canuck brethren have invaded Daytona! They must be running a special on Back Bacon.
BTW, send Bob a sympathy card, he lost a very long post (Pulitzer?) last night and is mad as a wet hen.
That’s all, more later.

Very, very cool.
Stephen’s last blog post..Where do they get this stuff?
is michael waltrip gay? is he?
bryson - normally I wouldn’t approve of comments like this, I was feeling charitable.
‘Cause normally I delete childish, idiotic and lame BS like your post without it ever seeing the light of day.
Just a little luv from the Half-Vast Staff of Full Throttle, Happy Valentines Day. Nitwit!
