Ol’ GC will be missed. Another good one gone. He’s even part of the Petty family of drivers. Drove the famed #42 in a few races for PE in the late 60s. If I’m not mistaken, his name also made its way into the script for the Richard Pryor movie “Greased Lightning”, the film based loosely on the life of Wendell Scott.
I believe the reference to the movie Greased Lightning is correct. I believe this is the movie that at the beginning showed G C in his car.
G C you are greatly missed by the racing world and anyone that ever met you.
