“Stolen” Pitboxes and Stolen T-Shirts!

Well that didn’t take long.

The new head honchos at Hall of Fame Racing aren’t going to take it any longer and have cashiered J.J. Yeley’s crew chief Brandon Thomas and replaced him with Steve Boyer.

Boyer has worked in the engineering department at HoF since December and was previously a crew chief at Ganassi for Sterling Marlin for the last six races of 2004 and the entire 2005 season.

Meanwhile, there was a bit of real stealing going on down Suwanee, Georgia way. Last Friday, Officer Joe Burnette arrested the driver of a silver Jeep Liberty for running a red light.

Inside the car were the driver and his passenger, and a load of bootleg T-shirts. The two men were headed to Bristol, Tennessee, carrying 1,032 T-shirts with NASCAR on them and 66 Kid Rock shirts, valued at $11,310.

Oppsy! Hope they enjoy their stay in the Iron Bar Hotel.

  1. Speaking of Bristol-related crime, check out this guy:

    Link

I think maybe he watched a few too many races.

  2. My favorite NASCAR-related theft happened a few years ago when someone stole a Matt Kenseth show car and trailer.

mike’s last blog post..Know Your NASCAR Bloggers: Marc Boland

  3. Someone nabbed a Mark Martin show car as well, and if memory serves it happened the same year.

  4. I’m told the actual number of T-shirts confiscated was 1,028.

Obviously you are trying to drive up the price of Kid Rock T-shirts. You clearly state….”and 66 Kid Rock T-shirts valued at $11,310″ which indicates the 66 Kid Rock T-shirts were worth over $171 dollars a shirt.

My feeling is your wish for harsh punishment for these two individuals trying to conduct free enterprise (an American tradition) is because the T-shirts were most likely made from imported stock and you are a radid unionist determined to allow incompetent union workers at textile mills to continue making $40 an hour for lesser quality products. You’re racist hatred for workers in the foreign garment industry disqualifies you from commenting on any issue related to casual wear.

And how is you know these two were headed to Bristol? Could they not have changed thier mind and been headed to a Goodwill box in Memphis to contribute the allegedly illicit goods to keep the homeless warm. No, of course you only see the negative aspects of Jeep owners. If in fact it was a Jeep., If in fact such an arrest was made. If in fact there is a redlight in Swaunee GA. I googled to find the exact number of redlights and thier locations in Swaunee and no links existed. Nor was there any mention of an Officer Burnette residing in that area on Peoplesearch.com. Yeah, yeah, you have no facts to support your argument but you’re going to continue spewing urban legends like this crap to try to scare those conducting free enterprise garment sales from hurting your unionist buddies, you racist pig!

  5. My my my… if it isn’t my “friend” Matt from Frontstretch.com attempting a little pay back. That is you right? Not that it matters ’cause the trash you posted is trash none-the-less.

Lets go thru this slowly shall we:

“I’m told the actual number of T-shirts confiscated was 1,028.”

You were “told” really? Who were your sources? MeThinks you read the same story I did and have done one of two things, lied thru your teeth or have a serious reading comprehension problem. Either way you can’t “prove” dog squat without a source, so “smart guy” who was it that claimed the T-shirts numbered 1028 vice 1032?

“My feeling is your wish for harsh punishment for these two individuals trying to conduct free enterprise (an American tradition) is because the T-shirts were most likely made from imported stock and you are a radid unionist determined to allow incompetent union workers at textile mills to continue making $40 an hour for lesser quality products.”

Free enterprise? Is that your definition, to violate trademark and copyright laws by attempting to defraud the public with counterfeited T-shirts?

And BTW Matt, the “wish” was for them to enjoy their stay in the Iron Bar Hotel. Equating that with wanting “harsh” or any other type or length of punishment borders on moonbattery.

“And how is you know these two were headed to Bristol? Could they not have changed thier mind and been headed to a Goodwill box in Memphis to contribute the allegedly illicit goods to keep the homeless warm.”

Based on not just one but two credible sources.

I note you made an accusation they weren’t headed to Bristol, got a source, and while you’re at it got a source that says the items weren’t “illicit?” Or are you claiming the marketing manager from JR Motorsports that verified they were fake is liar?

Which is it Matt, are you a BS artist or do you have sources to show what is incorrect with this post?

“Yeah, yeah, you have no facts to support your argument but you’re going to continue spewing urban legends like this crap to try to scare those conducting free enterprise garment sales from hurting your unionist buddies, you racist pig!”

Just where are yours Matt? I see a lot of hot misguided air and little else.

Congrats Matt, in a single post you have become what is normally described as a BlogRoach.

But don’t let that stop you from returning I and the more reasonable commentors here need and desire the occasional comedic interlude.

  6. Wow, that was hilarious. Careful Marc, Matt already threatened to revoke your license to comment on casual wear.

  7. Think so Mike?

What makes it even more hilarious is, and assuming he’s the Matt I believe him to be, he proves exactly with I’ve pointed out on his recent posts at Frontstretch.com he has all the honesty of a Nixon or Clinton and all the racial toleration of David Duke.

He’s just pissed because I’ve taken a couple recent posts apart factually and this is the response, 5th grade playground stuff.
