With Critical Thinking Like This…

… you have to wonder how Toyota has ever won anything, anywhere, on any circuit or series.

Much has been written about Jacques “Motor Mouth” Villeneuve’s NEXTEL Cup debut this weekend at Talladega. Not the least of which were Jeff Gordon and Kyle Busch who expressed dismay and in so many words said they had no desire to be near the guy given his experience level in stock cars.

As an aside, Villeneuve’s title track on his first album was titled Accepterais-tu? French for, Would You Accept? I get the feeling Gordon and Busch didn’t add it to their CD collection.

With Jacques’ well known propensity for self proclaimed importance it shouldn’t come as a surprise to many that it was his idea to insert himself in the middle of the NASCAR Chase for the Championship.

Which raises the question, just what the hell is Toyota, or more specifically Bill Davis Racing, thinking? So lets ask:

  1. I’m always amazed how Willi Weber promoted Schui jnr. After Williams he pulled a mega retainer off Toyota.

The revolving door at Toyota F1, Salo, McNish(still haven’t worked that one out), de Matta, Panis,Zonta,Ralf, Trulli. 7 seasons & as many drivers.

  2. Eating your words yet? He qualifies sixth, goes to the back and by then of the race had improved by 15 positions, all while staying out of trouble.

Your article is a smarmy piece of garbage from someone who knows only of the small, isolated world of NEXTEL Cup racing. Or at least sees it as the hillbilly pinnacle of all things motorsports.

Before the race even started he was the most accomplished driver in the field.

How many stock car races has Hornish ran? He coudln’t even qualify a Penske in the field.

I hope Villeneuve nabs Perrier sponsorship, condemns the war in Iraq and enters a homosexual love triangle with Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon, just to see millions of NASCAR fans heads explode in unison.

Your cynical comments make you sound like some pathetic Star Wars fan who has grown into a bitter adult who only criticises the very thing he loves.

How’s life in your mom’s basement?

  3. Well “Mr. Awesome” I see your from Canada so it figures you would be a Villeneuve sycophant, be that as it may lets start here with your childish and most factless diatribe:

Why, I said nothing that the vast majority of drivers said themselves prior to the event. They were all uneasy about Jacques starting his frist Cup race at Talladega. The fact he kept his nose clean doesn’t change that in the least.

Not as marmy, ill informed, idiotic, and not to mention a fine example of why this post is titled as it is.

If you would have spent one tenth the time reading this blog, or looking at the categories listed in the sidebar as you did writing this piece of trash you MAY HAVE realized this statement is so false as to be laughable.
